What is an electric car?
Electric cars draw electricity from batteries to power an electric motor to propel the vehicle, generating zero emissions. The batteries are charged using standard household electricity and electricity captured by regenerative braking.

Can I drive the electric car out of the City of Santa Fe?
Miles vehicles are electronically limited to a top speed of 25mph to meet Federal Low-Speed Vehicle requirements. Miles vehicles are street legal on roads posted 35mph or less. The speed limit on St. Francis and Cerrillos road, outside of downtown limits reaches 45mph. Please note, the speed limit within the downtown Santa Fe area is 15mph. We offer delivery to your home or hotel in downtown Santa Fe (call for more information).

How do I charge the Miles electric vehicle?
We deliver the Miles vehicle fully charged. For multiple day or weekly rentals, we will show you how simple it is to charge the battery. The battery is charged with an onboard charger that plugs into a standard 110-volt outlet. The Miles can be charged anytime of day but the ideal time to charge is at night when the demand for electric power is at its lowest.

How much does it cost to charge a Miles vehicle?
To fully charge a Miles vehicle in Santa Fe from a completely discharged state, it takes approximately 5 kwH of power and costs about 60¢. (Local cost per kwH is currently .121293.) We prefer to charge our electric vehicles at night when the demand of electric power is at its lowest.

How old do I have to be to rent from Dragonfly Express?
Drivers must be 25 years of age or older.

What do I need to rent from Dragonfly Express?
