Why Electric?

Our ever growing world means more people, more vehicles, more traffic, and more pollution. Greenhouse gases are increasing daily and global warming is unarguably evident everywhere. Air quality is decreasing and respiratory problems are increasing. The time is now, we must collectively act together to control our generation's carbon footprint to ensure a hospitable planet for our children and their children.

Even on Santa Fe's bad days we can have air quality worse or as bad as a large city. Our beautiful bowl like canyon creates an inversion that has the same effect as seen in major cities. Cold air on top traps warmer air below and does not allow pollutants to rise into the upper atmosphere thus creating poor air quality.

Electric cars give off zero tailpipe emissions and up to 99% lower emissions than gasoline and diesel vehicles. The US (which is 4% of the earth's population) consumes 25% of the world's total oil production. Electric vehicles help America reduce its dependence on oil.

It is up to each one of us, each and every individual can make a difference. Stay positive knowing that even the smallest actions help. Only when we curb our egos can we learn the planet has no option but to go green!
